Business Report Trips Up
Unfortunately it seems that my view of Business Report is being proven correct. In this article one of their journalists reports on the matter of fake qualifications being used to embellish CV’s and leads in with mention of the ‘International Association of Fake Universities’ fake degrees before moving onto other related sources.
The big problem is that the ‘IAFU’ looks more like an elaborate joke, peddling ‘novelty degrees’ similar to those you’d find in the nearest Cardies Store instead of engaging in outright fraud. If anything the name should be a dead giveway of that fact – alas the reporter took it somewhat too seriously.
Can someone else then forward to the reporter the urgency of stopping the spread of dihydrogen monoxide? I think they and their news editor would appreciate it.

Heads up from Nexxus
P.S. Business Report deserves to get demoted to the bottom of the list ranking the local business publications for this. How could they have missed the following on the IAFU site:
”In case it is not otherwise apparent, “International Association of Fake Universities (IAFU)” is a humor website. Similarities between names used and names of actual universities are for satiric purpose. All documents are presented for their novelty value alone.”
