Should we infer anything from the fact that even the ANC Youth League now say they want Zuma to be put on trial for corruption? Ostensibly this is so Zuma can have a chance to “clear his name”, but come on, even the most deluded of ANCYLers must realise that if Zuma were to be put on trial, there’s at least a good chance of him being convicted.

Kinda makes all that “innocent until proven guilty” rhetoric seem like a double-edged sword, doesn’t it? The Youth League seems to be striking a masterful rhetorical balance between overtly supporting Zuma while covertly preparing to disassociate themselves from him, should he be charged and convicted.
